The downtown location of award-winning competition team and restaurant Plowboys BBQ, located at Petticoat Lane and Main Street, has introduced a new menu item aptly named the “Streetcar Sandwich.”
“As a restaurant located right along the streetcar tracks, we are excited for the potential traffic and exposure,” said Todd Johns, co-owner and founder of Plowboys BBQ. “Our new Streetcar Sandwich is a way to celebrate the completion of this exciting project and look forward to an increasingly vibrant and accessible downtown Kansas City, MO.”
The Streetcar Sandwich, first sampled by Major Sly James and his staff, features a long Roma Bread hoagie bun filled to overflowing with a combination of Plowboys BBQ’s signature pulled pork, ham and sausage. It’s then topped with creamy coleslaw, pickles and KC Crossroads sauce.
“We love being KCMO’s downtown barbecue restaurant,” continued Johns. “As more people choose to live and work in this area, we’re excited to introduce them to true competition-style barbecue that’s smoked long and slow for 10+ hours.”
The Streetcar Sandwich is available for a limited time only at the downtown Plowboys location.
